Train journeys between Fez and Meknes

Trains

Trains are a great adventure and a wonderful way to travel in Morocco. It is simple, organised, sometimes late but you see so much of Moroccan life.

If you fly in and/or out of Fez one of the ways to Meknes (Meknes Al Amir station) is by train.

ONCF, the Moroccan train organisation has lovely old fashioned 1st Class carriages on their trains. There is a trolley service with tea, coffee, drinks and snacks.

The journey is about 35-40 minutes and costs 30MAD; about £2.50 each way. you can find train times at www.oncf.ma

A taxi from Fez airport to the station or the return is 150MAD-confirm with the driver before you leave.
